Ingredients:
- 500g of fresh cherries, pitted and halved
- 250ml of heavy cream
- 150ml of condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- a pinch of salt

Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the pitted cherries and a pinch of salt. Mash them lightly to release some juice.
- Add the heavy cream, condensed milk, and vanilla extract to the bowl with cherries. Whisk the mixture until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into the ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
- Transfer the churned ice cream into a freezer-safe container and smooth the top with a rubber spatula.
- Cover and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm before serving.
